Nampa Police Department

We have the honor of welcoming a local hero- Lieutenant Brad Childers who serves in the Nampa Police Department.

Lt Childers will share with us what the agency does for the community and our partnerships. He supports the department’s K-9 Unit and helps lead the annual Nampa PD K-9 Foundation Golf Tournament (maybe we could get a few ideas), which raises funds for training, equipment, and ongoing care of police dogs. Lt. Childers also represents NPD in public forums and at community events— recently attending the Boys & Girls Club teen center ribbon cutting!

Lt. Childers been in Law Enforcement for 20 years, 15 years of which has been
with SWAT and K9.

Lt. Childers was born in Idaho and has lived in Nampa for 26 years. He graduated
from Boise State University and continues education through training towards law
enforcement. Lt Childers is married to his wife Renee for 26 years and they have
two sons.

Lt Childers has received the following medals.

• Medal of Valor
• Combat Cross
• Life Saving Award

Lt. Childers is currently assigned over the patrol division and K9s for the Nampa Police Department, which in his opinion is the best department EVER!
