The Importance of Buying Local

Sandy Anderson was appointed Executive Director of Buy Idaho in October 2011. Her responsibilities include membership retention and growth, media and community outreach, web and social media management, as well as the planning and coordination of all Buy Idaho events.

Sandy helps Buy Idaho members network and provides opportunities that will encourage members to connect with one another throughout the state. She is an advocate for promoting the Buy Idaho message and its members.

A marketing professional, Sandy has over 24 years of experience in sales and marketing management, new business development, public relations and special event planning. Prior to Buy Idaho, she was employed at Journal Broadcast Group where she was instrumental in producing a member of community events. She continually gives her time and talent by actively volunteering for nonprofits and civic organizations.

Currently, Sandy and her husband Mark, reside in Boise’s north end. They are active in the community and enjoy the best of Idaho’s outdoor recreational opportunities.
